INQAAHE Conference 2025 – Event ReportNEW

From May 13 to 16, 2025, the Japan University Accreditation Association (JUAA) successfully hosted the 18th INQAAHE Conference 2025 at the Akasaka Intercity Conference Center in Tokyo.
Under the theme “The Big Bang Theory: A Paradigm Shift in Quality Assurance,” the conference brought together approximately 270 participants from across the globe. Through keynote speeches, parallel sessions, poster sessions, and panel discussions, attendees engaged in vibrant discussions and exchanged international perspectives on how quality assurance in higher education should evolve in response to rapid societal change.
In particular, the keynote addresses underscored the importance of ensuring that qualifications in higher education are certified with fairness and transparency, and emphasized that quality assurance is a cornerstone for maintaining the credibility of higher education and facilitating international recognition.
The conference program also featured opportunities to experience traditional Japanese culture, fostering deeper international exchange and mutual understanding among participants.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our conference sponsors—the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India and the Tokyo Club—and to our supporters, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). We are also deeply thankful to the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) for their support, and to the University of Tokyo for hosting participants as part of the social program.

JUAA is committed to applying the insights gained from this conference to enhance our quality assurance activities and further promote international collaboration. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to the success of the event.
